The rules for 2010 club competition.

2010 Club Competition Rules.

Niagara Club, Wed. 17th March 2010 7.30pm
Exhibition of Prints & Projection of Images.

Prints:

Colour or Monochrome Prints.

Size: Minimum print size 8 in by 6 in.
Maximum A3. (or 16 in x 12 in)

Mount Size (prints mounted on board to a size appropriate to the print, and no larger than 50 cm x 40 cm)

Subject: Open subject matter.

Number of entries: Maximum 5 Mono and /or 5 Colour prints

Entry Fee £2.00 per category, ie £2.00 for colour prints and £2.00 mono prints (irrespective of number of individual prints)



Projected Images:
Images must be in JPEG (jpg) and RGB format at Maximum quality
Maximum Width - 1400 pixels, Maximum Height - 1050 pixels.
Disc may be CD or DVD. More than one author may be entered on the same disc
Subject: Open subject matter.
Number of entries: Maximum 5 images.
Entry fee: £2.00

Maximum £5.00 for all three categories.

Awards:

Best Mono Print (Burton Trophy plus medal)

Best Colour Print (Jacobs Trophy plus medal)

Best Projected Image (Meadowhall Shield plus medal)

Print Photographer of the Year (Lawson Cup plus medal) BEST SET OF FOUR PRINTS.

Project Image Photographer of the Year (Jessop Cup plus medal) BEST SET OF FOUR IMAGES.

Newcomer of the Year (Harrison Cup plus medal) BEST SET OF FOUR IMAGES/PRINTS. - from an entrant who never won a club trophy before. An entry consisting of four images, either print and/or digital images, May include, but not essential, images taken at one of our workshops or project work
Ie, Images from your garden or one garden/park as a set of four; the city centre, Magpie Mine, portrait workshops, still life evenings.
Presentation: It is hoped to present the awards at the Sports Club Dinner in early April but could be presented at the competition evening Wed 17th March 2010..

CLOSING DATE: Wed 17th February 2010.

Taken to the meeting on the 17th February; to the secretary by hand; or to HQ Post Room marked ‘Camera Club’.
